I'm a terrible blogger

I apologize to my family for not keeping this updated.  While I doubt anyone is really reading this, I wanted it to be a history of our family.  I'm going to try harder.  So basically, it has been over a a year since I've blogged and there have been some big changes since then!  I found out I was pregnant in Oct 2010 and we had our second daughter, Eleanor Sue on June 17, 2011.  Everything between those dates was a pregnancy blur!  Our girls are so beautiful and precious!  We couldn't be happier with our little family!  I"m still working for Arnie at Formation Capital and Trent now works at Hunter Technical Resources (my sister's company) and is really enjoying it.  Life is good!

The first half of 2010 has flown by!

The Warren family has been busy this year!  It seems that every weekend we have something going on - usually thanks to the Baileys (who are a million times busier than us!) and some great friends!  And now we are about to embark on our summer vacation to Cape May on July 3rd!

Instead of entering 10 different blog entries, I thought I'd sum it up with a few pictures here and there.
We got teeth!  Grace has 8 front teeth and some molars on their way (we think!)

No more bottles!!

She met several Easter Bunnies and loved them all!

The family on Easter Sunday (sorry for the blurry photo, obviously we were not operating our own camera!)

In her Easter dress!

And we're walking!  Grace took her first steps on Daddy's birthday, April 20th!  She's a pro now!

Eating real foods!
Wearing dresses and playing with cars!

Grace's 1st Birthday Party

We celebrated Grace's 1st birthday with family this year and it was a major success! Grace loved all of her presents and enjoyed demolishing her very own cupcake!

Our Baby Grace's 1st Christmas

It has been a whirlwind year and it didn't slow down for the Christmas season. We had such a fun time decorating and preparing our home and hearts for the big day...wanting to make it as magical as can be for our baby's 1st Christmas!

I think we (and Santa) may have gone a little overboard with gifts, but it was worth it! Grace loves all her new toys, clothes, etc and she is very blessed to have such a loving, generous family.

Christmas Eve we went to the 4pm Mass with Miz and Granddad and the Baileys then out to a delicious Italian dinner (the kids were so good) and then to Aunt Tracy and Uncle Clint's for dessert and playtime with Grace's Atlanta Cousins, Ryan and Garrett.

Then on Christmas Day, we opened gifts at our home and then went to Nana and Granddaddy Warren's house for presents and delicious brunch. GG, Aunt Susan, and Aunt Ansley were also there and showered us with adorable gifts. Then we went home for a break and a nap before heading back out to the Emery's for presents and a scrumptious turkey dinner with the Baileys. Grace got even MORE awesome gifts from all of them. Then we went home and got a call from Uncle John telling us that they had Baby Bea home with them (1st time home since she was born on Dec 8th) and that the package they sent for Grace was sitting in our mailbox. So we went out to get it and there were 3 gorgeous Lilly Pulitzer dresses for her!

All in all, it was a busy holiday but we now are able to look back and reflect on the joy-filled time and the blessings that fill our lives.

For God so loved the world, that he gave His only son! Happy birthday Jesus, our Lord! Thank you for all that you have provided us - a loving family, a beautiful child, and an abundance of gifts!

Grace's Summer Vacation to Cape May, NJ

We made the trip up to Cape May this year with our baby girl and she enjoyed every minute of it. We flew to Atlantic City on the same plane as the Baileys and Uncle John picked us up and drove us down to our beautiful town house to meet up with Miz and Grandaddy and the Baileys. It was a fun time and Grace was so good on her first plane ride and loved the beach. She even did a little swimming in the pool!

Grace is 3 months old!

Our baby is already 3 months old! Grace is doing so well and she's growing every day. She likes to talk - especially after getting kisses - and loves to just hang out on her changing table while Mommy talks and sings to her. She's taken a liking to her Daddy lately and loves when he does leg exercises with her. With Atlanta's usual hot weather already creeping in, we've had to transition her away from her usual "jammies" and introduce her to "onesies" so she doesn't get too hot - she's turning into a true Atlanta baby. She's had a busy 3 months of life - spending time with her cousins and grandparents, been to Florida and back, and many shopping outings (even to Home Depot.) We also had a trip planned to visit her Great Grammy in Ohio for Mother's Day, but with the Swine Flu scare we're going to try to visit later in the summer.

2 months old

Grace is now just over 2 months old and she is certainly the love of our lives! Mom is back to work this week - which has been hard but she knows her Nana is lovingly taking care of her! In 2 short months (that have flown by), we've had our obstacles with feeding and weight gain but she is on track now. She likes to be held and in the past few days is now starting to become so much more observant and interactive. She's taken a liking to Eeore and Tigger on her crib mobile and she may already be a young fan of The Wiggles (her cousin RyRy's favorite show).

Grace is Born!

We were blessed with our first child on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009 at 5:05 in the evening. Grace Kathryn came into this world via C-section at Northside Hospital by Dr. Brad Moore. She weighed 6 lbs., 2 0z. and measured 19 inches long. She was born 4 weeks early due to her mother's pre-eclampsia condition. Although born early, Grace only spent 2 hours in the transition nursery for observation and was then given the thumbs up to join us in our hospital room. According to her doctors, she is "perfect". In only a few short days, she has brought so much joy into our lives. Grace loves to sleep and she has been so good. We have to wake her to feed her because she is still very small and has lost a few ounces since her birth.

Nursery in Progress

Grace's nursery (oh yeah, we're having a girl...Grace Kathryn) is still under construction, I'd like to find a nice bookcase and/or storage bench.

The Young America Caroline crib that Daddy bought from
Kids Room Stuff store in Alpharetta. (very disappointed with assembly & lack of service after purchase was made)

The lighting fixture that Daddy installed.

The dresser that Miz and Granddaddy bought
(and the glider from craigslist.)

And of course we still need the bedding (Isabella by Glenna Jean)...

What a Miracle!

Today, Trent & I went to my 12 week checkup at the OBGYN and witnessed the most amazing Ultrasound in 4-D. It allowed us to see our baby (who is only 2.3 inches long) in multiple dimensions...and it looks like it's already grown into a full grown child! It's a great example of God's miraculous work and the advancement of technology today! Unfortunately, baby was shy and had it's back to us, so we only got a good view of the back and some side.

The word is out!

Trent & I are expecting! We are super excited and can't wait to watch Baby Warren grow. Here is a snip from the 9 week ultrasound. (head is at bottom!)

*stylish* babies are on their way

Seems like everyone is pregnant these days, so I've been immersed in baby-related decor and items. I discovered a website Serena and Lily that has the most stylish baby bedding and decor I've seen! These are a few samples of things I found to be VERY cute. They also have a book out, called Nursery Style, that is available on Amazon that also features Kate Spade as one of the designers.

My favorite design that I'm saving for my very own nursery...

Bathroom inspiration

Always bitten by the decorating bug, I can't seem to stop thinking of ways to redecorate rooms that I already thought were complete. I am still searching for the best ideas for bathrooms, with minimal work. Here are some bathroom photos I've found recently that I love!
